Rev. Ralph Kraft was called to serve as Pastor at St. Paul in 2012.

Pastor Ralph grew up in Savannah, GA and got his Bachelor in Agriculture degree with a concentration in horticulture from the University of GA in 1989. After working for two years in various fields he knew the time was right to enter seminary which he did at the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC. He graduated and was ordained in 1995. He says the transition meant he went from "taking care of plants to taking care of people" as all the churches he has served as Pastor have been here in North Carolina. He and wife Mary have one cat named Sirpurr. Pastor Ralph enjoys being part of the Startown/Newton community helping equip the people to serve God through witnessing, welcoming, worshiping and working.
